A3: The build card

Give this to the room

THE BUILD, 9:30 TO 15:30

Setup: two screens. A thinking tool (Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity) on the left, the build tool (Lovable, Bolt, Replit) on the right. Think left, build right.

The first prompt: do not polish it. Ask the thinking tool for a first prompt based on the brief, paste it into the build tool unread, press run. See the result, then fix. A wrong screen at 9:45 teaches more than a perfect plan at 11:00.

Then loop small. Change one thing at a time. Look between every change. When a prompt conversation circles twice, start a fresh build with a fresh first prompt. It is almost always faster.

Keep, steal, delete. The tool will add things you never asked for. Delete most of it. Some of it is better than your plan. Steal its accidents.

What today's build does not need: login, payments, settings, real data, clean code, your brand colours. One believable path from first screen to the goal in the brief. That is Goldilocks quality: real enough to test, rough enough to finish.

The three questions that fix most stuck moments:

  1. What does the user see in the first five seconds?
  2. Which click proves the idea?
  3. What would she do next?

The clock calls: 12:30 halfway · 14:30 stop adding, start sharpening · 15:15 save links, test on a phone · 15:30 hands off.
