A2: The brief card
[GIVE THIS TO THE ROOM · filled in with your challenge before printing]
THE CHALLENGE
[Your brief goes here. One sentence: user, context, goal.]
Written as: How might we help [a specific person] in [a moment you can picture] reach [a goal with a finish line]?
What the brief gives you: who you are building for, when they show up, and what good looks like at the test.
What it deliberately does not give you: the solution. That part is yours. Four teams, same sentence, four different answers is the whole idea.
When you are stuck at any point today: read the sentence again and ask "what would she do next?" The brief is the tiebreak for every argument.
Your assumptions are fuel. Every time you catch yourselves debating "but would she actually...", stop, write the assumption on a sticky note, stick it by the screen, and build it. Users arrive at 15:30 to settle exactly those notes.
Tight enough to aim, loose enough to discover.
