Tools, worth thirty seconds
For you only
People ask me which vibe coding tool is best, and my honest answer is that the question is worth about thirty seconds. Here are the thirty seconds.
Pick one default for the day: Lovable, Bolt.new, or Replit all work. Let anyone who already knows a different one use that. Move on. The differences between them matter to reviewers on YouTube. They will not change what your room learns by 15:30. As of mid-2026 the same trick is also done well by v0 (Vercel's builder) and by Claude's artifacts, and by the time you read this there will be two more. The list ages. The method does not.
What the tool has to do for the day is a short list: a working result from a first prompt, runs in the browser, and gives you a link you can put in front of a stranger in the afternoon. Every tool I named does all three. After that, the interesting questions have nothing to do with software.
| Not worth ten minutes of the day | Worth ten minutes of the day |
|---|---|
| Which tool is objectively best | What does the user see in the first five seconds |
| Whether the code underneath is clean | Which assumption this build is betting on |
| Pixel-perfect brand colours | The one click that proves the idea |
| Login, payments, real data | What you will ask the user at 15:30 |
The checks that are actually worth your time, all logistics: ☐ Accounts created before the day, one per team, logged in and tested ☐ Free tiers and credit limits change monthly. Check the week before whether a day of heavy building fits inside them, and have a payment method or company account ready if not ☐ Run one real prompt through the default tool on the room's wifi, the week before and the morning of. Corporate IT blocks strange domains for a living ☐ A phone hotspot as the fallback network ☐ Each team should also open a thinking tool (Claude, ChatGPT, or Perplexity) next to the build tool. The brief deserves ten minutes of argument. The tool does not.
