B5: The wrap-up post

For the company channel, the internal newsletter, or LinkedIn. Twenty minutes, while the photos are fresh.

Yesterday, eight of us ran a Product Build Day.

One challenge: [the brief, or a plain version of it]. Six hours of building with [tool]. Nobody in the room writes code.

By 15:30 we had four working prototypes. Not slides. Working, clickable prototypes, built by [the roles: "two PMs, a designer, two salespeople, our head of support..."].

Then five real [users] tried them. [One honest sentence about what users did: "Nobody found the saved looks. One person asked what the app was for. One lit up at the remix screen."]

By 17:00, [sponsor name/role] made the call in the room: [the decision, one line]. [Owner] owns the next step, due [date].

What I am taking away: [one honest line · "the idea we were surest about died in twenty minutes of user contact" / "the winning idea came from the pair we least expected"].

We used the Product Build Day method by Marcin Klimaszewski (productbuildday.com). Ask me anything about running one.

The last two lines matter more than they look. The honest takeaway is what makes people trust the post, and the credit line is what gets you the method's next update. Both cost one sentence.
